The purpose of the Tribal Energy & Climate Collaborative (TECC) is to identify and advance the clean energy, climate change, and related economic and workforce development goals of the Member Tribes of the Southern California Tribal Chairmen’s Association (SCTCA).

Our vision is for TECC Tribes to individually and collectively make significant progress addressing their communities’ evolving clean energy and climate goals.

Economic and Workforce Development

We aim to become a regional economic engine led by and benefiting all TECC Tribes that systematically advances clean energy and climate technologies and solutions. TECC works to accelerate Tribal readiness and strengthen opportunities for successful commercialization while addressing TECC Tribes’ sovereignty, sustainability, resilience, economic, workforce, and other needs and goals.

Policy and Regulatory Advocacy on Climate and Energy

TECC is poised to become an effective clean energy and climate advisory body on policies and regulations supported by dedicated experts. Our vision is to overcome barriers, expand programs and resources, and advance all TECC Tribes’ clean energy and climate priorities. This work is supported with grants from the California Public Utilities Commission's Equity and Access grant program.
