TEAS provides planning support and implementation support for business and organizations, but does not provide direct funding awards.
Eligibility
TEAS is available to medium- or heavy-duty fleet owners and operators (Class 2a-8 vehicles, 6,001 pounds or heavier). You must be located in SDG&E’s service area. Fleets at every stage of their electrification journey, from initial planning to post-energization, are eligible.
Eligible Activities
- Fleet Electrification Planning: TEAS Advisors offer educational resources to help you understand the basics of fleet electrification, including how to get started
- Pre-Energization Support: This phase bridges the gap between planning and implementation, helping you prepare to make your fleet electrification project a reality
- Post-Energization Support: After a site is up and running, TEAS Advisors can continue to support in optimizing operations, managing energy consumption, and training for operations and maintenance
- Utilizing Emerging Technology: TEAS Advisors can guide you through evaluating innovative and advanced technologies including Automated Load Management (ALM) and Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) to help manage energy resiliency
Duration
Notable Requirements
While there is no fee to participate, there is a time commitment involved. To maximize the benefits of the services provided through TEAS, it is recommended that you secure management-level buy-in before participating.
How to Apply
Submit an Interest Form on the official program page. A TEAS Advisor will then contact you. Participation is free and there is no obligation to purchase an EV or charging equipment.
