Up to $40,000; requests $15,000 to $25,000 is a guideline.
Eligibility
Fire departments, law enforcement, EMS, public safety organizations, nonprofits, and schools are encouraged to apply. Although the foundation mainly focuses its resources in areas served by Firehouse Subs restaurants, they will consider applications outside of the 60-mile guideline. U.S. applicants only.
Eligible Activities
Lifesaving equipment examples include vehicle extrication tools, automated external defibrillators (AEDs), bunker gear, thermal imaging cameras, automated chest compression systems, vehicle stabilization struts, bulletproof vests, all-terrain vehicles, and fire hoses. Prevention education tools examples include fire extinguisher training systems, prevention education materials, programming initiatives to focus on issues such as DUI and distracted driving education, carbon monoxide poisoning, CPR training and accessibility and other relevant safety issues.

Notable Requirements
Financials must show revenue and expenses and must include the name of your organization, city or county. One of the following options must be submitted: a recent – within one month – Balance Sheet which consists of Assets and Liabilities; a recent – within one month – Profit & Loss Statement also called an Income Statement; a current year annual budget showing projected income and expenses; or a previous year audit or 990. An official vendor quote must be submitted for your grant request to be considered. Only one vendor quote may be submitted for related items only, within one equipment category. Unrelated equipment cannot be combined into one quote.
