Maximum $1,500. The organization funds more than 45 projects each month.

Researchers and educators conducting biodiversity conservation work.
Eligible Activities
Small equipment grants for environmental leaders to grow and strengthen the movement to conserve the planet’s biodiversity. Requested equipment examples include GPS, binoculars, and cameras. IDEA WILD gives extra consideration to projects in areas identified as critical biodiversity hotspots.

Preferences
Projects with a strong biodiversity conservation aspect are given priority. The organization welcomes hearing from Tribal and marginalized communities. Priority consideration is given to applications with:
- Strong practice-based biodiversity conservation aspect; pure science and agricultural projects without immediate application in the field of conservation are not funded.
- Plans for future conservation reuse of the equipment after your project is completed.
- A one-page summary of a project that is well-planned and attainable.
How to Apply
Submitting a complete application package to applications@ideawild.org. Once an application materials have been received, the applicant will receive an email reply to confirm receipt of their materials within 10 working days. Each request is reviewed within 3-6 months of receipt.
