Incentives are divided into Fast-Track Incentives and Custom Projects. Contact the program for information about specific rebates and rates. A table with available Fast-Track Incentive examples is online here.
Eligibility
Military facilities, Tribal nations, federal government facilities. Eligible properties must meet the following criteria:
- Be an existing SDG&E customer on federal property or Native American lands
- Billing must be based on a qualifying rate schedules AL-TOU, AL-TOU2 and/or schedule GN-3
- Must be located within the service area
Eligible Activities
Common Energy-Efficiency Projects:
- Boiler and chiller plant improvements
- Building automation systems/energy management control systems (EMCS)
- Chilled water, hot water and steam distribution systems
- Electric motors and drives
- Heating, ventilation and cooling equipment (HVAC) upgrades
- Outdoor lighting efficiency and controls
- Refrigeration and food service equipment
- Retro-commissioning
Notable Requirements
- SDG&E account number and name, as it appears on the property’s electric and/or gas bill
- Federal tax status (Corp, LLC, etc.), legal business name and Employer Identification Number
- Tax Exempt Certificate (if applicable for payee)
- Manufacturer specification sheet(s) – with wattage and/or technical information
Preferences
Fast-Track Incentives are also known as standard rebates. Projects using only standard rebates do not require pre-approval. SD EnergyLink must pre-approve projects that include equipment not applicable for standard rebates before the purchase or installation of technology, equipment, or systems.
