The National Household Wasted Food Prevention Project (NHWFPP) will be coordinating a national media campaign and community grants, both will focus on changing specific habits and behaviors to prevent wasted food in households. Innovator Grants support creative, locally tailored strategies to motivate target audiences to reduce wasted food. Catalyst Grants support larger-scale projects to implement household wasted food prevention strategies across a variety of communities.
To promote safer, more sustainable pest management practices in California, the Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) annually funds projects that advance sustainable pest management (SPM) practices through integrated pest management (IPM) research, knowledge, tools, outreach, and implementation in agricultural, urban, and/or wildland settings.
Grant funding to promote the use of tire-derived aggregate (TDA) to increase recycling of California-generated waste tires. This program provides opportunities to divert waste tires from landfill disposal, prevent illegal tire dumping, and promote markets for recycled-content tire products.
To promote water recycling by providing technical and financial assistance to local agencies and other stakeholders in support of water recycling projects and research.
To help very small, financially distressed rural communities with predevelopment feasibility studies, design and technical assistance on proposed water and waste disposal projects.
To encourage public agencies to take an independent look into their current practices, identify potentially inefficient water or energy use and follow up with a well thought out plan to improve consumption of these valuable resources. All audits must be related to projects, facilities, or activities that are otherwise eligible for Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) funding.
