To fund new construction and upgrades of neighborhood-level resilience centers to provide shelter and resources during climate and other emergencies. The program will also fund year-round services and ongoing programming that build overall community resilience.

Tribal Wildfire Resilience grants is part of CAL FIRE’s Climate and Energy Program and supports California Native American Tribes in managing ancestral lands, implementing and promoting Traditional Environmental Knowledges in wildfire resilience, and establishing wildfire safety for Tribal communities.

The program aims to support efforts that combine community services and physical improvements to protect the health of Californians who are most vulnerable to extreme heat.

In June 2025, the MacArthur Foundation introduced a program on Native self-determination. Guided by the voices and leadership of Indigenous Peoples, this program will increase resources and deepen relationships in ways that reflect mutual respect and long-term partnership, while building on the $109 million the foundation has provided over the last 10 years to organizations working on issues that impact Indigenous Peoples and communities. To support Indigenous frontline, grassroots, community-based groups and organizations, Tribes, communities and villages, and individuals leading direct action or movement-building work in their effort to defend Indigenous People’s rights, and protect their land, air, water, and natural resources.

The Coastal Conservancy funds a wide variety of projects along the California coast, San Francisco Bay, and in coastal watersheds to increase availability of beaches, parks and trails for the public, protect and restore natural lands and wildlife habitat, preserve working lands, and increase community resilience to the impacts of climate change.

Juniper & Pine Consulting offers Indigenous healing-centered certificate programs designed for individuals beginning their journey as a healing-centered facilitator, deepening their capacity as an Indigenous regulation practitioner, or preparing to carry a specific curriculum into their own Nation and community. Limited work/trade scholarships are available for Tribal Members and Indigenous participants. Tribal Members and those who identify as Indigenous are eligible to complete the certificate program at a reduced cost.
