The Native American Library Services Enhancement Grants program (NAE) is designed to assist eligible Native Communities in sustaining and improving library services with their communities. As information needs change, Tribal libraries must be able to serve as knowledge and resource centers to benefit their users and the wellness of their communities. The NAE program supports Native Communities across the country to address their individual information needs and priorities.

The Charger Service Skills Accelerator provides grant funding for projects that will increase the qualified workforce needed to service electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment. Funding will support training that leads to portable, industry-recognized credentials and may be used to expand existing training programs to include EV charging equipment service.

The Department of Energy Office of Critical Minerals and Energy Innovation (CMEI) is launching the Providing Opportunities for Specialized Education in Critical Technologies (PROSPECT) program. With up to $100 million, the nationwide initiative will fund efforts to attract university students to careers that directly support the domestic production, processing, recovery, and recycling of critical minerals.

The near-term goal of PROSPECT is to double the number of graduates with degrees related to mining, minerals, and associated supply chain technologies within two years. In the long term, PROSPECT will support the implementation of new curricula, teaching tools, financial-aid programs, and other incentives that promote continued growth in these fields. The Resilience Hub Academy (RHA) is a comprehensive online “Masters Program” designed for those interested in learning more about Resilience Hubs and developing the skills to plan, design, and implement a Resilience Hub or network of Resilience Hubs in their community. The academy covers all the essential aspects of Resilience Hubs, while also connecting participants with content experts in a fun, interactive environment.

To address NIOSH's mandate to ensure an adequate supply of qualified personnel to carry out the purposes of the Occupational Safety and Health Act. ERCs are academic institutions providing high-quality, interdisciplinary graduate and post-graduate training, research training, continuing education, and outreach.

The Certificate in Climate Action Planning (CAP) is an online program designed to help individuals create and implement climate action plans. Through engaging live classes, practical assignments, and expert presenters, participants will gain tools to mobilize community members in reaching emission-reduction and climate resiliency goals. Topics include community engagement, vulnerability assessments, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions accounting, strategies for mitigating GHG emissions, creating resilient communities, climate and social justice, and implementation. The program costs $3,500, with installment plans available to all and reduced rates for Gonzaga students.

Competitive Edge is a collaborative outreach initiative designed to empower local residents, strengthen community partnerships, and connect local talent with long-term careers in the utility sector. Their signature program is a 6-week, 224-hour pre-apprenticeship that prepares San Diego residents ages 18+ for careers in the utility industry.Each cohort brings together 20 candidates for a 6-week, 224-hour pre-apprenticeship. Participants receive: a weeklong bootcamp and hands-on technical training; OSHA and First Aid/CPR certifications; resume building and workplace communication workshops; and personal development and career readiness support. SDCE provides a weekly per-hour stipend along with daily breakfast and lunch. Each participant is also paired with a dedicated mentor who provides guidance throughout the program.

Juniper & Pine Consulting offers Indigenous healing-centered certificate programs designed for individuals beginning their journey as a healing-centered facilitator, deepening their capacity as an Indigenous regulation practitioner, or preparing to carry a specific curriculum into their own Nation and community. Limited work/trade scholarships are available for Tribal Members and Indigenous participants. Tribal Members and those who identify as Indigenous are eligible to complete the certificate program at a reduced cost.

TECC’s Innovation Ecosystem is a core Economic and Workforce Development program initiative bringing Tribes and clean tech startups together to strengthen Tribal sovereignty, resilience, and long-term economic prosperity while enabling businesses to scale. This new Advisory Board will provide strategic guidance and subject-matter expertise. A participation stipend will be available to TECC Tribal representatives.

The purpose of the Tribal Undergraduate to Graduate Research Training and Leadership Experiences (TURTLE) program is to fund federally-recognized Tribes or Tribal Entities to develop a pool of scientists to conduct research on Tribal health and health disparities. The overall goal is to support the development of individuals who have the technical, operational, and professional skills required to conduct Tribal health research in a culturally appropriate, ethically responsible and rigorous manner, to complete their degrees in a biomedical field, and to transition into careers in the biomedical research workforce.

NIGMS will provide support for a phased award to Tribal Entities to develop (UE5) and implement effective training and mentoring activities for research-oriented individuals earning a baccalaureate degree (T34) or doctoral degree (T32) in biomedical research fields at a variety of institutions across the United States and territories. The phased award is intended to develop capacity at eligible Tribal Entities and provide funds for institutional NRSA training programs. The funding in the second phase of the TURTLE award will provide trainee stipends to defray living expenses, tuition remission, travel, as well as training-related expenses to support the program.
